Is there an emergency vet's in Sidmouth?

Jurassic Vets Sidmouth provide a 24-hour emergency service on site. This means that you will not have to drive further than normal and have to worry about finding a new premises far from home in an emergency. Your pet will be able to seen in a familiar environment with all the equipment readily available to help.

Can I just come to the practice if I have an emergency?

If you feel you have a genuine emergency outside of normal working hours please call the number provided above. The duty vet will be able to offer advice over the phone on the best course of action. If the vet feels it is necessary for you to be seen they will ask you to attend the practice.

Who will I see Out of Hours?

Jurassic Vets Out of Hours service is run by our hard-working regular staff in their own spare time. We think it is important that your pet receives consistent care and it can also be more settling in an emergency for both of you to be greeted with familiar faces. We have one vet and one veterinary nurse on call each night to ensure this happens.

What if my pet needs to be treated out of hours?

Out of Hours Emergency Service is intended for registered clients of Jurassic Vets and holiday visitors to East Devon within a 7 mile radius. If you have an emergency and are not a Jurassic Vets client we would advise calling your own vets first as they will be aware of your pets history.

It is important to be aware that the charges for emergency out of hours consultations and treatments are naturally higher and will vary depending on client eligibility. For example Pet Health Club (PHC) members receive reduced charges for these consultations as part of their membership benefits. Please ask if you require more information on prices, eligibility or Pet Health Club membership. It can also be useful to read our information on pet insurance as this can prove invaluable in some cases.
