Puppy Socialisation at

Jurassic Vets

Socialise your puppy with others in a controlled, fun environment with qualified staff.

Welcoming a new puppy to your family is an exciting time – and also an important one, because the experiences that your puppy has in the next few weeks will stay with them for life. Puppies have a lot to learn in their early days – they must learn to play in a friendly way with both humans and other dogs, understand basic commands, and learn that the vets is a happy place to come to. There's also a lot for new owners to learn – how do I cope with a puppy barking at night? How long should toilet training take? How do I stop play-biting?

There is far more than can be covered in one go, even in our relaxed 20-minute consults – which is why we offer Puppy Socialisation Classes, to all puppies under 16 weeks registered with us.

Our Puppy Classes

Coming along to one of our puppy classes is a chance to ask any queries you may have in a relaxed environment. Puppies have the chance to meet and play with other puppies while their owners can learn and discuss puppy care with our staff.

Puppy classes are held at our Colyton Practice and are all run by trained members of staff to ensure a safe and controlled environment for puppies to learn in.

They're an excellent way to receive advice and tips on puppy training from our veterinary team, to meet other puppies and their owners, and to ensure your new puppy is happy and relaxed when they visit the vet in future.
