Pet Prescriptions

Repeat pet prescriptions are available from Jurassic Vets. You may obtain relevant veterinary medicinal products from us or ask for a written prescription and obtain these medicines from another veterinary surgeon or pharmacy.

We may prescribe relevant veterinary medicinal products only following a clinical assessment of an animal under our care. A pet prescription may not be appropriate if your animal is an in-patient or if immediate treatment is necessary. Due to our professional regulations patients are required to be reviewed on a regular basis - typically every three or six months, or every twelve months for anti-parasitic (worm and flea) medications. During this review our friendly vets will assess your pet, adjust medication doses if required, discuss any new medications which may be appropriate  and check for any problems or concerns that may be related to long term treatment.

It is important to note that we cannot issue repeat prescriptions for patients whose medication review date has passed, so please book any review appointments in plenty of time so that there is no delay in issuing your prescriptions. We ask that you please allow 48hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays for your request to be processed.

You can request a repeat prescription by phoning us or sending us an email. Please do not use the email for any urgent prescriptions.
